The thing that i like about India like nothing else its depth of culture and Heritage. The past of this country i find absolutely mindboggling. The technological and cultural transcedence was way way beyond what anybody can think of at this time….
Notwithstanding all the respect I have for India especially being a devout Hindu and being truly proud of its ancient civilizations, for a start would like to stay away from past rhetoric and focus on some current concrete areas.
Nowadays many a people are fascinaed by the glorious past of this country. My opinion is that the enchanment would be demarked to the past only, fully having the knowhow of the regression that is taking place day by day, I believe that most of the people including the most educated lot here would give me their mea culpa.
I think there should be many people including me for whom these things have for sometime crossed their radar of thinking:
- All people in white attire are after only vote bank … then whom to vote?
- Following any meticulously planned terror attack, our protector parties only look to pass the buck, who will give me the basic right to live seeing that life is all that is in the end?
- Corruption is everywhere, humanity is decreasing day by day, I am not sure of any help if anything happens to me on a roadside…. Think this old verse adressed to lord is truest in the present scenario: “Tvamev mata pita tvamev tvamev bandhu sakha tvamev tvamev vidya dravidam tvamev tvamev sarvam mam dev dev..”
- Seeing the disparity of education standards in West and India, Indian education system has become least concerned with innovation and learning in the truest sense, seeing my own standards, why shouldn’t I send my kids to west for learning after I marry and they grow up?
Seeing the risk we see in going anywhere outside for any work in India, be it for getting “Sabzi”, with our well wishers saying “khayal rakho”, me panicing when my parents don’t lift their telephone for some 2-3 hours; like as I have to go to a naxalite area in Jharkhand for an official meet this sunday, an area in which people don’t travel in the evenings, one and only one thought comes vacillating in my mind…. is the risk residing in india worth it???? answer is a majuscule NOOOOOOOOO !!!!
